Credential Definition
- Foundation – A Foundation certification is a professional certification for specialists needing to have an overall understanding of the standard and its requirements. The principal competencies and knowledge skills needed by the market are the ability to support an organization in improving its management based on international standards.
- Provisional Manager – A PECB Certified Provisional Manager demonstrates that you are familiar, with and understand how to help your organization manage processes according to different standards and guidelines. This credential is for individuals who don’t have management experience but know the methodologies and theories on how to use guidelines for management.
- Manager – A PECB Certified Manager proves that you are competent in implementing and managing a process throughout your organization, using internationally recognized standards. To achieve this credential, you need to pass the relevant Lead Manager exam and have at least two years of work experience – one of which is in management or related to the industry. In addition, you also need to demonstrate that you have performed risk management activities totaling 200 hours.
- Lead Manager – The PECB Certified Lead Manager credential is for professionals needing to demonstrate the competence to implement, maintain, and manage an ongoing management program according to internationally recognized standards. The principal competencies and knowledge skills needed by the market are the ability to support an organization in managing processes, which will be demonstrated by a Lead Manager.
To become a PECB Certified Lead Manager, apart from passing a Lead Manager exam, you also need to have at least five years of working experience, two of which are related to the industry/standard you are applying. In addition, you need to have been involved in related projects for at least 300 hours.
- Senior Lead Manager – The PECB Certified Senior Lead Manager credential is for professionals needing to demonstrate the competence to implement, maintain, and manage an ongoing management program according to internationally recognized standards. The principal competencies and knowledge skills needed by the market are the ability to support an organization in managing processes, which will be demonstrated by a Lead Manager. This certification is targeted toward more experienced professionals.
To become a PECB Certified Senior Lead Manager, apart from passing a Lead Manager exam, you also need to have at least ten years of working experience, seven of which are related to the industry/standard you are applying. In addition, you need to have been involved in related projects with at least 1,000 hours.
- Provisional Implementer – A PECB Certified Provisional Implementer demonstrates that you are familiar with, and understand how to implement and manage processes related to the standard you received your certificate. This credential is for individuals who do not have to implement experience, but know the methodologies, the theories and have the mindset of an implementer.
- Implementer – The PECB Certified Implementer credential is for individuals who want to be part of implementing teams and be involved in managing management systems. It validates that you know all implementing frameworks and that you are competent to take part in implementation. To achieve this credential, you need to pass the relevant Lead Implementer exam and have at least two years of work experience – one of which is related to the industry. In addition, you also need to have been involved in related project activities totaling 200 hours.
- Lead Implementer – Lead Implementer courses enable participants to develop the expertise to support an organization in implementing and managing a Management System based on ISO standards. This certification is a benchmark for PECB certifications, proving that you have the required competencies to implement, manage and audit a management system.
To become a PECB Certified Master, you need to pass the Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor exams, pass four additional Foundation Exams related to the specific industry, and have fifteen years of working experience, ten of which are related to the industry. In addition, you also need to have performed audit activities totaling 700 hours and project activities totaling 700 hours.
